Fillmore County Highway Programs
Fillmore County Roads Department plans each year to complete projects according to a priority system that is set-up according to condition of road and/or structure. This is called a 1 year plan.
We plan to complete the projects listed in this plan within 2
years. They are listed in order of when the project will be
attempted to be completed.
1 YEAR HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT PLAN
Fillmore County also plans for the future. We identify roads and bridges that will need work and/or replaced in the future and put these projects into a 1 to 6 year plan. There are times when projects are put into this plan and are not completed within the time frame that was planned. Due to available money, emergencies and other projects moving up the priority list because of poor condition, there are many projects that have been in the 1 to 6 year plan for 20 years.
1 TO 6 YEAR HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT PLAN
These projects are placed into the plan so when they can be moved up to the 1 year plan after engineering work has been completed and county funds are available, there should be State and Federal matching money available. They are listed in the order of when the project was placed in the plan.
